Artist Statement

The artist’s ability to evoke beauty and to move a viewer emotionally, perhaps even to tears, has a spiritual element to it. It can be argued that an artist’s function in society is similar to that of a spiritual guide.

There is a quiet streak that runs through my work. I strive for a timeless, universal quality by combining formal beauty with enhanced mood that is designed to move the viewer towards quiet contemplation.
